Aside from dealing from the inconvenience of Photobucket's new TOS, I've been watching things unfold with interest. I suspect that they'll lose more more customers than they think they will. They won't miss many of the unpaid users, but they won't be the only ones that'll be leaving. I've been looking for new hosting sites and have found that though there are many out there, their login pages are not very secure. I've only found two so far that do have secure login and am using one (Postimage) for hosting images. I haven't had any problems with embedded pictures with them. Their site is fairly easy to use, too, though people follow links back to the rest your photos on the site. Doubt I'll use them just for photo storage. If I find more good hosting sites with secure logins I'll add them here. Postimage (Uses SSL certification for their site.) NickPicHost (Does not use SSL, though it still has secure login.)

My alien avatar is linked to Photobucket. When will they cut the link?

I don't know. Did you try uploading it here?

If that's not an option, why not try Postimage. I really don't want us to use Photobucket because they plaster those ugly icons all over the main directory when they detect links without payment.
