Aside from finding a verb for catch: kapti, it looks pretty close. Kaptilo is a noun. If we need a word for something like a trap or snare, that would be the one to use. Also, I think that we can drop the word iros, since it usually is implied. "Se vi ne manĝi ĝin, ne kapti ĝin" should be pretty close to what you want.
