It's clear right now and may be later. Was just looking at my charts for possible targets. M4 by Antares is looking like it might be the best. Maybe the Butterfly Cluster M6. Up in Draco there's some double stars and UGC 10822.

Unfortunately I'm going to have cloudy skies tonight.

I was just out looking at Scorpius with my 7x50s. Couldn't see M4. Seen Omega 1&2.

Sorry you couldn't see M4 with the binocs, but glad that you were able to view the other two.

I still have my 15x70s to try. It looks like in my book I should be able to see it and I seen a video that said you could see it with binoculars. I do have a lot of light pollution here. Omega 1&2 aren't good targets by themselves but they do help verify where you are. M4 is very interesting. Antares is red and I wonder if the nebula has something to do with that?

I doubt that the nebula has much to do with the color of Antares since it's a red giant. I found a good article on this lovely star and posted a link to it here.

M4 might be out of reach? Maybe M13? You can always give them another go, I guess.

I was in & out several times with my 10x50s trying to get a bearing on things. I think that I viewed NGC 6530 & M8 (Lagoon Nebula) a few times but I can't say it with certainty. I could not figure out exactly where I was.

The Summer Triangle is creeping into view. Vega was overhead. I think I like winter astronomy better.
