There was day light (not direct sun light) coming through the window right next to them and an LED grow light just 2 inches above them. I never keep the room light on in the room they are in so there is no light coming from the interior of the room except for that brief time the strobe light was going off. They chose to and did turn away from the day light and the LED grow light in favor of the strobe light which they could not see directly and only ran for like 15 to 20 minutes. Light does bounce, though, so I suppose it bounced enough to have an effect.

I think it's the first time that I seen one or noticed one. I came so close to getting a photo of it. As soon as I touched the screen door it flew away Oops, yes one does have to be quick and sneaky when the shyer creatures show up.

Cool, I could almost see this as a pattern for a stained glass ornament.

This site is loading slowing on my computer. Are you having similar problems?

I use to have that problem all the time but it hasn't happened to me for a long time.

That's good. Slow computers are a bummer. I was asking because mine slows down on this site, but is fine on the rest of the Internet. Will just have to keep looking into the matter. It's not that fast a machine, though it works fine for me. It's been having problems with this site here lately, though.

I'm running Linux's version of Chrome called Chromium. I'm using it now, but it's flash needs to be updated. Best just to wait until proper update for my system comes along.

What's it like for the eclipse where you are Sherlew?

Well, we have a 'partly cloudy' forecast, but hopefully we'll have a sky that's clear enough for viewing. The sun will only be covered about 90% at totality, but it should be a pretty good show even if we get a thin cloud cover.
I have to work this morning, but will try to pop out and watch part of it, at least when the eclipse hits it's peak.
What are your plans for the day.

Just got back from my hike. It feels like it's in the 90s here. You should have seen the awesome ginormis fish that I seen.

I'm thinking it was a palomino trout. It was orange and over 2 feet long.

I actually did the isometric exercises that I wanted to do yesterday. I used my GYMBOSS miniMAX timer and did 3 sets of planks and then I used my Iso-Bow.

I'm thinking it was a palomino trout. It was orange and over 2 feet long. I haven't heard of these before. They're interesting fish. It sounds like people mistake them for the Golden trout, in California.
